Member's Code of Conduct 1. Don’t Flame. Please exercise restraint and civility when posting. Personal attacks will not be tolerated, but feel free to make rude facial expressions at the monitor. Likewise, trolls will be slain by the Mighty Sword of Ban. 2. Spam Is Bad. You aren’t a Bot, so why act like one? Pick a message, and post it once. If you’ve forgotten to include something, please use the Edit feature to edit your post. Multiple threads that cover the same topic have a high chance of being removed. Likewise, off-topic posts also run the risk of being deleted. 3. We Don’t “Do” Advertising. We are not a linking service or a search engine to other sites. Like most forums, we will not allow links to or content from sites that contain: a. Pornographic, racist, or illegal materials.b. Get rich quick shemes. These are sites that earn the poster a profit/commission or sites that give points for incoming links.c. Competitors’ sites. While we believe in a free-market and believe competition is awesome for the marketplace, there’s just a whole whack of stuff that could go wrong with linking to a competitor that we’d rather not be liable for.d. Other questionable content as determined by a Moderator. 4. Don’t Post Porn or Other Inappropriate Images. Of any kind—even if it’s ‘art.’ Ignore this warning and you may suddenly find yourself without an account. 5. Bumping is Unnecessary. If a post is worthy of a response, it will more than likely get one. Likewise, resurrecting old threads is also frowned upon. 6. Spoofing and Impersonating Other Users. Attempting to impersonate another user or greatly misrepresent oneself (such as pretending to be part of the Fusion-io team) is grounds for an immediate ban. 7. Moderators Aren’t Negotiators. Community moderators have the right to ban— whether temporarily or permanently— any member of the forums, or place restrictions there upon. They have the right to edit any posted content they feel goes against the Members' Code of Conduct or the “good spirit” of the community, including inappropriate or inaccurate content posted on personal profiles. 8. There is no “Freedom of Speech.” Climbing on a soapbox and claiming a right to free speech only applies to countries. The Fusion-io team allows users to post on its forums because we want to hear what they have to say, good or bad. However, making baseless accusations, slinging insults or any other form of behavior that seems hostile towards any and all community users will be dealt with appropriately.
