We have a project without an OS (FPGA). We have access to a PCIe interface and believe the FusionIO product line may suit our needs, but we can only use them if the PCIe interface is documented, or if we're legally allowed to reverse engineer it. So, first - is there a document specifying the communication protocol, and second, if not, are we allowed, and is the protocol simple enough, that we could reverse engineer it? We're mostly going to be logging data linearly - and can cache multiple megabytes at a time, so we can match our output to the minimum write-page size of the flash you use...
