  • Re: Booting from IO Drives?

Hello Dane, Congratulations on your Apple Mac Pro and Fusion-io ioXtreme purchase. Lets start with a couple of clarifications and talk about options. The MAC Pro is a mighty workstation, and can be loaded well. By default it will be running Apple OSX, Leopard or Snow Leopard. At this time the ioXtreme...

  • Re: is this card windows7 64bit o/s bootable

Hi all, I'd just like to throw this out there to check if my theory is correct. Windows 7 creates a 100Mb boot partition on whatever drive you try to install to. I do however have my project files, swap files (like in my image and audio editing apps) set to the card and I am a floored by...

At this time you will not be able to boot the ioXtreme in any operating system. You should see a huge performance gain in specific uses of the card.
