I can verify that the original FusionIO 80GB SLC PCIe card works just fine on a Mac Pro Dual Quad Core Xeon 54xx (Jan 2008 release) when you boot into Windows 2008 R2. I would not expect the FusionIO extreme and extreme Pro to be any different in terms of compatibility. It's not a hardware issue...
