&lt;p&gt;There are actually 3 different processes (under Linux) to be aware of&amp;nbsp;for each ioDrive that you may have installed:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;fct[0..n]-worker&lt;br /&gt;fio[a..z]-metadata-g&lt;br /&gt;fio[a..z]-data-groom&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The data and metadata grooming processes are performing operations on the NAND flash array in the background, performing wear levelling and other &amp;#39;magic&amp;#39; maintenance tasks that give the ioDrive its reliability and lifetime.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The best way to check if there are any problems would be to monitor the ioDrive&amp;#39;s status using the &amp;#39;fio-status&amp;#39; utility (with the -a command line switch).&amp;nbsp; Look for the &amp;quot;Media status&amp;quot; line.&amp;nbsp; Here&amp;#39;s an example (in this case using an HP IO Accelerator on an HP blade):&lt;/p&gt;
